James Snell

Jamey is a versatile Sober Companion with 8+ years of hands-on experience managing complex substance use disorders, dual diagnoses, and intricate family systems. He boasts a specialized track record supporting high profile clients (I.e., Public facing persona, UHNWI, and A-List celebrities), demonstrating absolute discretion and an ability to adapt instantly to diverse environments.

He is a kind, service-minded person driven by a genuine commitment to community, helping others find their voice via advocacy and an empathetic understanding of their pains and struggles. A lifetime of experiences, personal work and self discovery have awarded Jamey, the privilege he can remain a steadfast, loyal friend to the people in his life. Introverted by nature, he is a private and discreet person who recharges when focusing on his personal life. A devoted father to his adult daughter and a proud grandfather.

He practices self-care by expressing his thoughts while creating artwork, exploring introspectively when spending time discovering music and collecting records, and stepping beyond his personal universe when he is able to travel and see more of the world. These creative outlets balance his life and sustain the focus and emotional structure that best aids his talent in serving others.

Jamey’s personal experience and professional track record have constructed an approach to clients rooted in a flexible philosophy that rejects "one-size-fits-all" intervention/support, in favor of supporting multiple pathways to recovery. He has honed skills that have resulted in a strong background in crisis intervention, active listening, and rapid problem-solving under pressure

We are a team…

SELECTION:

Our agents/companions are carefully selected and personally trained by our founder James Snell. Jamey has over a decade of experience working as a companion with a wide array of clients. His skills in navigating environmental dynamics (family, workplace, trusts) are passed on to every one of our agents prior to beginning work with a client. We look carefully for qualities of empathy and a proven track record in working with those in need. We also bring agents into the fold that have done their own personal work in resolving their own traumas and sustain a stable and rewarding life at home.

DEPLOYMENT:

Our agents/companions are supervised throughout their entire assignment. They have direct access to their supervisor aiding them in navigation of unforeseen circumstances that can pop-up. Our supervision is based on years of hands-on experience with clients where we can offer our expertise and experience ensuring that both the companion and client feel safe and supported, regardless of each circumstance.

IN-PERSON RELIEF:

Our supervisors provide regular visits (in person) to our agents, helping them navigate each client's needs and providing each client with the knowledge of a full team of care specialists advocating in their favor. We provide relays of our agents at given intervals (between 15 and 30 days) in order to prevent burnout and provide a “re-charge” in order to continue serving our clients with a full and undivided commitment to their needs.
